The Audi RS5 first appeared on the scene in 2010. It’s a coupé that has had a total of three generations, with the latest two generations released close together in 2017 and 2019. If you are looking for a new car, you can save with an approved used Audi RS5.
The Audi RS5 premium sports coupé was officially unveiled in 2010 at the Geneva Auto Show. It was developed by the quattro team with a high-revving 4.2-litre V8 petrol engine with FSI direct injection. It gets from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and features the standard Audi 7-speed S Tronic gearbox.
The second generation of the Audi RS5 was released in 2018, with design details inspired by the Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO. In addition to new design elements, such as large air inlets with a honeycomb structure at the front of the car and widened wheel arches, the model also features a 2.9-liter TFSI V6 bi-turbo engine. The engine was designed to offer more power, efficiency, and responsiveness than the previous 2010 model.
Just a year and a half after the release of the second-generation Audi RS5, a third model was launched. The car has been given a minor makeover, which was unveiled at the same time as the RS5 Sportback to mark the 25th anniversary of the Audi quattro brand. There are various small design changes, from a wider and flatter Singleframe engine grille to optional matrix LED lights with darkened bezels. It features the same 2.9-litre, twin-turbocharged V6 engine as the previous model, and puts out 450 horsepower and 600 Nm (442.5 lb-ft) of torque on a four-wheel drive system.
The Audi RS5 Coupé and Sportback both offer standard, Carbon Black, and Vorsprung trim levels. For the standard trim that means 19" x 9.0J '10-spoke star' design Audi Sport alloy wheels, Audi Matrix LED headlights with LED rear lights and dynamic front and rear indicators, MMI Navigation Plus with MMI Touch and Audi Virtual Cockpit, and RS Super Sport heated front seats in Fine Nappa leather with contrast honeycomb stitching.
The Carbon Black trim features 20" alloy wheels in glossy black and the Carbon Black Styling Pack, including front spoiler, sill extension inserts, and a diffuser insert in carbon including high-gloss black-trimmed radiator grille, windows and horizontal bar in the diffuser. The Audi rings and lettering are also styled in glossy black, plus there are carbon twin inlays.
The Vorsprung trim includes 20" wheels in matt titanium look with a high sheen finish. It has a panoramic sunroof, and Driver Assistance Pack, as well as Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system, plus multi-coloured extended LED interior lighting pack thanks to the Comfort and Sound Package, which comes as standard.
With an intuitive and luxurious interior, the exterior features 19” X9J forged, 10-spoke wheels and the signature honeycomb grilles of the RS range.
