- Documents which state your address, like a bank statement or utility bill
- The V5C documentation which states your name, address and the car’s registration number
- Your logbook with the full service history. This can increase the value of your car if there is a full service history
- All of the parts and accessories that originally came with the car
- A working car key (preferably two)
What cars won’t you buy in the East Midlands?
Whilst we check the original number plates are still on the car, the V5C document matches the plates and there is at least 3 months of valid MOT left on the date of receipt, there are some exceptions to a sale:
- The MOT has expired or is no longer valid
- The description of the car doesn’t match what the car actually looks like

- The car was used for private hire, chauffeur, rental, police, etc

- The car was registered outside the UK
- The mileage is different to what was claimed
- History check issues
- The tyres aren’t legal or road-worthy
