The brand-new Defender Octa has a raised ride height and wider stance which offers an increase in performance and unmatched capability. The front has a new appearance for Land Rover which purposefully features a new bumper and grille design to enhance the Defender’s rugged and ready character. The design choices not only add style but also improve cooling for the new uprated V8 engine.
The all-new Octa has been built to succeed in even the most challenging conditions. The exterior is tough and durable, a hard-wearing Graphite front under shield has been added to protect the car from rugged terrain.
Exclusive 20” multi-spoke alloy wheels have been added to the specification. They utilise a diamond turned face dark tint finish with satin black contrast to create a visually unique wheel design.
Performance
The Land Rover Defender Octa features a Twin Turbo V8 engine that offers an immediate response and exceptional drivability. Greater fuel efficiency has also been achieved thanks to the 48 V mild hybrid system that assists to improve the torque and sprint performance.
Brand-new 6D dynamics aur suspension has also been incorporated to respond intelligently to driving styles, with hydraulic interlinked dampers and height-adjustable air springs.
Land Rover have introduced OCTA mode which results in the most engaging off-road experience in a Defender. This uniquely braking calibration is designed for loose gravel surfaces, maximising the driving experience. Dynamic mode is also available which is optimally calibrated to enhance on-road driving. Each mode illuminates the cabin in a vibrant red and changes the screen layout to showcase power, torque and lateral G-forces.
