Double Cab Pick-Up: Car or Commercial Vehicle?
On Monday 12th February, HRMC announced that double cab pick-ups would be treated as cars rather than commercial vehicle when it came to tax brackets. This would mean there would be serious tax implications for capital allowances, and benefit-in-kind payments. It would also impact the fuel benefits for any employees provided with private fuel putting their personal finances at risk. If you were a business supplying your employees with a double cab pick-up, you’d be right to be worried about future costs.
