SEAT have just launched the FR Black Edition trim in the UK market which offering distinct interior and exterior styling and specification to add exclusivity to the Ibiza, Arona, Leon and Ateca range.
At an average increase of £1,025 across the model line up over the FR Sport, we’ve taken a look at what’s included on this new trim level so you can decide for yourself if it’s worth the extra money.
SEAT Ibiza FR Black Edition
£24,935 On the Road Price
Additional styling features over the FR Sport variant include; 18” black alloys, black roof spoiler, black side skirts and bucket seats. These details provide a distinctive look to the FR Black Edition helping it to really stand out on the road.
Spec highlights include panoramic roof which further add to the distinctive style of this variant, heated seats and keyless entry showing that the enhancements on this trim level, which come in at £1,215 over the FR Sport, are more than purely cosmetic and have driver experience at the forefront.
Customers can choose from the 95PS, 115PS and 115PS DSG-auto engines when selecting this Ibiza variant giving choice between horse power and manual/automatic transmission.
The Ibiza FR Black Edition is available on all current body colours and to increase exclusivity on this trim level, Graphene Grey will now be unavailable on other Ibiza trim levels.


SEAT Arona FR Black Edition
£28,805 On the Road Price
The Arona benefits from the same sleek black styling as the Ibiza with; 18” black alloys, black roof rails, black side skirts, black window edging and B-Pillar lasering for an imposing aesthetic.
Excitingly, the Arona FR Black edition is packed with spec over the FR Sport variant with a Vision Plus Pack, Safety M Pack and Keyless Entry as standard. The Vision Plus Pack comes with park assist and rear view camera to make parking and manoeuvring a breeze and the Safety M Pack boasts adaptive cruise control and high beam assist to improve comfort and visibility out on the road. Styling and spec considered, the Arona FR Black Edition has both substance and style by the bucket load at just £1,000 over the FR Sport trim level.
This trim level is available on the 115PS manual and DSG engine variants as well as the 150PS DSG
Like the Ibiza, all current SEAT Arona body colours are available in the FR Black Edition trim and Graphene Grey will now be exclusive to the Arona FR Black Edition.
Customers have the option to upgrade to the Red Pack at £320 with both the Ibiza and Arona FR Black Edition models which includes red brake callipers and red stitching on seat belts for an even more unique look.
SEAT Leon FR Black Edition
£33,150 On the Road Price
In terms of exterior styling, Leon FR Black Edition customers will enjoy 18” black alloys, black roof spoiler, black side skirts and black mirror covers to really give the Leon a unique edge.
Additional spec over the Leon FR Sport includes panoramic roof giving increased natural light in the cabin and keyless entry for added convenience and this trim level can be selected with all existing Leon body colours for a cost walk up of £1,000 over the FR Sport.
The Leon FR Black Edition is available on both the hatchback and estate body styles of the iconic SEAT Leon and the 115PS, TDI 150PS and 204PS DSG engine variants as well as the petrol 150PS manual and DSG options.


SEAT Ateca FR Black Edition
£36,890 On the Road Price
Featuring aggressive 19” black alloys to give this already impressive model an even bolder look, the Ateca FR Black Edition also comes with black roof rails for an understated stylish look.
This variant boasts impressive additional spec in the form of; top view camera for easy manoeuvring, keyless entry, adaptive cruise control with speed limiter for comfort out on the road and electric tailgate with virtual pedal so you can open the boot with your hands full! This much spec and added convenience for just £885 over the FR Sport price is impressive!
The Ateca FR Black Edition is available on both the petrol 150PS manual and automatic DSG variants.
In summary, the additional styling features on the SEAT FR Black Edition offers a distinctive yet understated look to help your SEAT stand out from the crowd in style whilst the additional spec provides enhanced driver comfort, convenience and experience.
