Brand-New Audi Launch: E-tron GT Range

Audi have recently announced the launch of the brand-new e-tron GT range; the S e-tron GT, the RS e-tron GT and the RS e-tron GT Performance!

Audi have recently announced the launch of the brand-new e-tron GT range, referred to as ‘an electrifying masterpiece’. The updated model family replaces the previous Audi e-tron GT and Audi RS e-tron GT with three brand new editions, The Audi S e-tron GT, the Audi RS e-tron GT and the Audi RS e-tron GT Performance.

The model range now features significant advances in power, performance, range and charging abilities making them even more competitive and desirable than before. Each new edition has its own take on Audi’s updated design language including the new Audi ring logo and corporate identity branding.

What’s new across the range?

Each of the brand-new Audi e-tron GT models feature updated exterior styling that signify developments over the previous generation. Firstly, the front end is distinctively different, the S e-tron GT features redesigned large vertical air inlets and an inverted single frame grille which are enhanced to the L winglets and a 3D-honeycomb design for the RS models. The rear now features a powerful rear diffusor with prominent vertical slates, the RS models also gain large aero channels for increased performance.

The full range features the impressive matrix LED headlights with Audi laser light and dynamic light sequencing, not only does this increase visibility but also looks stylish and sporty. The exterior of the GT range exudes sportiness due to the carefully curated proportions, the low sloping roof and extra-long wheelbase which perfectly embodies the Gran Turismo design.

The Audi S e-tron GT, now marks the entry to Audi’s updated e-tron GT range. It’s the most powerful Audi S model ever built with up to 680 PS available thanks to the improved launch control. Whilst the RS models in the range might be even faster, where the S e-tron GT stands out is in a contest of pure electric range.

Audi have dramatically increased the expected range with the updates to the S e-tron GT. The S e-tron GT has the highest range out of the three new models and can achieve between 367-375 miles on a full, single charge. Charging times have also been improved thanks to the 320kW charging as standard. This allows the Audi S e-tron GT to charge from 10-80% in just 18 minutes. The improvements are due to an exterior redesign to improve the aerodynamics, a larger 105kwH battery and a more efficient rear motor.

Other impressive updates to the S e-tron GT include the enhanced panoramic glass sunroof which now features switchable transparency technology, newly designed 20” alloy wheels, brand-new seats, a flat top, and bottom steering wheel and updated interior technology with the new MMI display and virtual cockpit content.

Audi RS e-tron GT

Audi RS e-tron GT

The RS version of Audi’s updated e-tron GT model is the only matching naming convention to carry through from the previous generation. Whilst the RS e-tron GT has been around before, it still features the same incredible updates and advancements that really take the model to the next level. Like the S e-tron GT, the RS edition features a redesigned exterior and interior, with additional RS touches and sporty finishes.

The RS e-tron GT features brand-new 21” alloy wheels in a 6-twin-spoke design with a gloss turned and milled finish, red brake calipers have also been added with lend to the Audi RS identity. The RS logo can also be projected onto the floor thanks to the Audi beam system. The interior also features sporty updates with Vanadium interior elements, Fine Nappa leather seats with red contrast stitching available and an optional 12 o’clock marker in Red available to increase the sportiness considerably.

Performance statistics for the RS e-tron GT include an incredible standard power output of 680 PS which can be increased to the maximum power output of 857 PS with launch control. The 0-62 mph acceleration time is also impressive at just 2.8 seconds.

Audi RS e-tron GT Performance

The final model in the brand-new GT range is the mind-blowing RS e-tron GT Performance edition. Audi don’t dish out the coveted Performance badge lightly which showcases their intentions to release their fastest and most powerful production car to date.

The Audi RS e-tron GT Performance has a maximum power of 925 PS or 680 kW which results in 1027 Nm of Torque and an incredible 0-62 mph acceleration time of just 2.5 seconds! This truly is the car to replace Audi’s formidable R8.

The RS GT Performance has the power and the styling to match, resulting in a visually stunning electric sports car. For the first time, Audi have added matt carbon camouflage styling to the RS e-tron GT performance, this complements the exclusive Bedford green paintwork nicely. There is also the darkened matt carbon fibre roof which provides additional sportiness.
