Three years after launching the e-tron GT, Audi are back with significant updates to their electric Grand Turismo models. Audi have revolutionised the e-tron GT range bringing three all-new editions – the S e-tron GT, an updated RS e-tron GT and for the first time the RS e-tron GT Performance.
The next generation Audi RS e-tron GT offers pure performance without compromise. As standard, the RS e-tron GT offers 680 PS of power but this can be increased to an incredible 857 PS with launch control activated. Charging has also been improved thanks to an additional 50kW compared to the previous generation, providing 320kW DC charging. This allows the RS e-tron GT to charge from 10-80% in just 18 minutes. The maximum range achieved is equally as impressive at 329 – 369 miles. This increase is due to the large 105kwH battery and efficient rear motor.
The brand-new RS e-tron GT has been designed to look sleeker and cleaner. The biggest change is to the front of the car which now has L shaped blades and a 3D honeycomb Single frame. The rear has also undergone a redesign with a functional RS rear diffuser and vertical reflector taking centre stage. Striking Black styling is throughout, with optional Carbon elements to the Carbon Black and Carbon Vorsprung models.
Visibility has been taken care of thanks to the Matrix LED headlights and Audi laser light. This eye catching set up offers dynamic light sequencing and impressively lights up the road ahead. 21” alloy wheels have been fitted to the RS GT as standard with an upgrade to the 21” 6-twin spoke RS design available with the Carbon trim levels.
Inside a blend of luxury, quality and sportiness takes over. The interior feels comfortable and spacious due to the Gran Turismo proportions yet the displays have been angled to the driver to replicate a monoposto cockpit.
Technology is at the centre of this RS interior. The Audi Virtual Cockpit takes over behind the steering wheel, displaying an abundance of information specific to this RS model. The steering wheel has been completely redesigned with a flat bottom and top with finishes in cloth and red stitching for additional control. Racing-inspired Audi drive select and push to pass buttons have also been incorporated.
