Audi’s S3 has been a core part of the firm’s range of performance cars for some time now, offering practical yet punchy driving wrapped up in a package which can be used day in, day out. The latest S3 brings more punch than ever, as well as a range of technical innovations which have helped to make it feel particularly high-end.

Audi has continued to offer a saloon version of the S3 too, offering up a slightly sleeker option over the standard Sportback variant.

The new S3 is “more like a baby RS 3 than ever before”.

Exterior design

The S3 design is centred around sports styling. The combination of flared wheel arches, an upgraded singleframe grille and large, angular side air intakes creates an impactful look with fantastic road presence. The result of the exterior styling is a classic look inspired by motorsport. The updates continue to the rear with a dynamic new bumper and diffuser, bright vertical side reflectors and four noticeable tailpipes.

Advanced lighting technology has also been added to the new S3. It is now possible to switch between different digital daytime running light signatures via the MMI display. Up to two designs can be selected with LED headlights and up to four with Matrix LED headlights. This enables customers to change the appearance of their model anytime.

Interior design

The new Audi S3 Saloon sets a new benchmark for interior design and quality. The interior design has been sharpened and has a more driver-centric feeling. The centre console has undergone a redesign including; a new gear shifter, revised air vents, updated decorative fabric inlays and brand-new interior lighting.

The interior is a comfortable and luxurious place with 3-zone climate control and heated seats. The flat-bottomed 3-spoke leather steering wheel is the centre of the design and additional features such as the extended LED multicolor ambient lighting elevates the space. The seats are finished in the luxurious Fine Nappa leather with diamond stitching and S embossing. The Vorsprung specification also features electronically adjustable front seats with memory function.
